Camel Wrestling  "An Aegean Tradition at Western Turkey",  Aydin - Feb.2008

Traditional camel wrestling is one of the important events of Western Anatolia. It is held annually between November and March as part of a predetermined program in different areas. Brought together, the male camels instinctively struggle for dominance. Under the careful scrutiny of their owners and appointed veterinarians, they are separated from each other without causing any damage.
